JAMES VOLLER MCIAT 

 

A Chartered Architectural Technologist with 40 years experience in architecture. Having worked at numerous reputable practices, I have gained a wealth of experience in all sizes, styles and stages of a project. Experience was predominantly in classical and traditional architecture in relation to high end residential dwellings and urban planning. Voller Architectural Design was established in late 2012 as a specialised traditional architectural practice for all scales of residential and community building projects.

 

VOLLER ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN is a chartered architectural practice based in Milford, near Godalming in Surrey, having recently relocated from Alton, Hampshire. The practice continues to serve clients throughout Surrey and Hampshire, including Guildford, Godalming, Haslemere, Petersfield, Farnham, Alton, New Alresford and Winchester.

I provide a friendly, chartered architectural design service tailored to each client. My work spans all aspects of architectural design, from small domestic extensions and alterations to traditional and contemporary new-build homes and small-scale residential developments.

Every project is delivered to the highest standards, with a focus on quality, attention to detail and value. I use advanced 3D modelling with Graphisoft Archicad, allowing clients to fully explore and visualise their designs. Using the BIMx app—available as a free download on Apple and Android devices—a client is able to move through their proposed building and visualise spaces with ease. See website here. 

 

I work closely with my clients, listening to their ideas and requirements and aim to find solutions that are individual, affordable and practical. The practice has good working relationships with various consultants such as structural engineers, arboriculturalists, ecologists, as well as local builders, whom we can recommend to any client.

 

Upon instruction, clients agree to the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists 'Conditions of Engagement' which set out the understanding and expectations between VA and client.
